After 14 years of running, the SBS morning show, “1,000 Song Challenge,” recorded its final episode ending another era of Korean entertainment.
The show aired its very first episode in October 2000 and every week famous artists appeared, including Shinhwa, BoA, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, A Pink, B.A.P, and more, to sing karaoke song without lyrics, challenging their memory.
It is said, that SBS is trying to reach younger audience with new and fresh programs, while most of the viewers of “1,000 Song Challenge” were elderly citizens. It was also reported, that a new cooking show will replace “1,000 Song Challenge” Sunday time slot.
