The girls of 2NE1 talked about the ‘5-year jinx’ that is constantly a scare lingering among idol groups.

Guesting on ‘Ho Jun Suk’s News In‘, they were asked, “Have you heard of the ‘5-year jinx’? Many groups tend to break up after 5 years.”

Leader CL confidently explained, “That is probably due to the contract term.”

However, they couldn’t reveal the length of 2NE1’s contract term, but CL added, “We still have time left. I think our team will continue for a long time.

As they were talking about solo careers, Dara mentioned, “If the opportunity presents itself, I want to do it. But since I’m promoting as a team right now, I am focused on 2NE1.” She has often showed interest in pursuing a career as an actress.

CL, with experience, said, Park Bom unni and I have experience promoting as solo artists. Our members didn’t originally prepare to be part of 2NE1 but prepared to be solo artists. But we ended up recording a song together and became a group that way so I think that all of us will have a chance to promote as solo artists one day.”
