SBS announced that it will launch a new battle program ‘Super Match’ similar to MBC‘s ‘I am a Singer’ and KBS‘s ‘Immortal Song.’
The officials of SBS revealed that “the pilot of ‘Super Match‘ is expected to air next month.”
The upcoming program will be more similar to ‘Immortal Song’ where a winner is picked each episode than to ‘I am a Singer’ where contestants are eliminated each round. It will also be recorded and not be a live broadcast program.
‘Super Match’ will feature a total of 10 teams of both senior and junior singers, who will choose their own songs and will compete through their performance of that song. Yang Hee Eun, YB, Lee Seung Hwan, Dynamic Duo, Clazziquai, 2NE1′s CL are confirmed for the show.
