Key East, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, stated that the actor went to Seoul District Office of Military Manpower Administration to take his re-examination at the and was judged to be qualified for active duty. Kim Soo Hyun was assigned as a 4th level public service worker due to his previous heart condition. But he managed to improve his condition and qualified as an active-duty soldier. There is no exact date announced for his enlistment yet.
Recently, Kim Soo Hyun was awarded at 2012 Korean Popular Culture & Arts Award along with SHINee, 2NE1 & PSY.
