The sibling duo Akdong Musician (AKMU) have proven themselves worthy in the music industry. Their title song “200%” made it to the top of major music charts, while other tracks from their album also made it onto ranking lists.
“200%” which was released at noon on April 7th, topped the chart on 9 major music sites including Mnet, Bugs, Melon, Soribada, Olleh Music and Genie, all within just 2 hours of its release!
Other songs on their album, “Play“, such as “Melted“, “Artificial Grass“, “Give Love“, “On The Subway“, “Hair Part”, “Little Star“, “Don’t Hate Me“, “Anyway“, “Idea” and “Galaxy” all ranked in the top range ; quite the accomplishment that not very many other artists have achieved.
“200%” is a song of rhythmical love that very wittily talks about being too nervous or shy to say anything in front of the person you love, while having prepared a confession the night prior. This is a sentiment unique to AKMU! Refreshing vocals by Lee Soo Hyun and Lee Chan-hyuk rapping intertwine the piece into one, perfect, coherent track.
