While DMNTN fans might feel their chances of a reunion slipping away, the solo debut of KIXS, the idol formerly known as Jeesu, is good enough to take some of the sting out. ‘Beautiful‘ is a track that features San.E giving a sample of his famous rapping and KARA‘s Goo Hara being sassy, incredibly good-looking and pursued by KIXS
I don’t exactly know what started the trend with brass and more complicated bass lines, but I am loving the results. ‘Beautiful’ has all of that, along with amazing vocals and a decent rap section. The music video has some excellent editing and composition, transitioning well from prerecorded streams to live versions of the artists, all done in a “one shot” style that doesn’t feel like a one shot video. The lighting and filter tricks added extra visual interest, and while this was in a confined space, I never once got bored during the video. Both KIXS and San.E were styled well, and had realistic clothing (save the sparkle eyebrows of course). And if you are more of a lady lover than interested in the male eye candy, Goo Hara does an excellent job of both looking good and creating a dynamic personality for that character.
