Seungri has once again showed how generous he is.
The Big Bang member recently donated 100 sacks of rice to his hometown, Gwangsan district in Gwangju. On the 23rd of August, Gwangsan district officials stated that Seungri made the donation in his fathers name on the 20th of August to a welfare organization called “Together Gwangsan.”
Even though Big Bang has made countless donations in the past, This is the first time Seungri has made a donation under his name. Lee Yeon-jin, who is Seungri’s father, commented that with this donation, they hope to participate in more charitable activities every year.
The ceremonial passing of the rice was held on August 24th at 4 PM at the Gwangsan Ward Office. Seungri was present because of his activities abroad so he left it in the hands of his close acquaintance, Im Jong-su, who’s a professor at the Hanryeo University for Police Administrative Studies. The rice was distributed to senior citizens and others in need of food.
