It’s finally here!

Following their successful promotions in the United States, BTS has finally released the official music video for their Japanese version of ‘Mic Drop‘! Fans were given a sneak peak of the music video at the same time that BTS‘ collaborations with Steve Aoki and Desiigner were shared with the public. Check out the Japanese ‘Mic Drop‘ MV below!

BTS‘ Japanese ‘Mic Drop‘ music video is almost identical to that released for their collaboration with Steve Aoki, though of course using the original ‘Mic Drop‘ instrumental rather than the remix version. The biggest musical change in the Japanese rendition of the song is the increased prominence of the higher voice after the repeated “mic drop” lines throughout the choruses. ‘Mic Drop‘s Japanese lyrics sound incredibly fierce, with BTS proving that they can diss their detractors in three languages!

The Japanese version of ‘Mic Drop‘ features on BTS‘ latest Japanese single album ‘MIC Drop/DNA/Crystal Snow‘. Which version of ‘Mic Drop‘ is your favourite?
