Clara appeared as a guest on tvN‘s “Taxi” and revealed that she almost debuted as a member of Girls’ Generation.
She confessed that when she was in the USA she went to a Korean festival and met SM Entertainment’s cast director there, who gave her a business card. She shared, “I even met Lee Soo Man and was close to signing a contract.”
The show’s host asked her if she could have debuted as a girl group member, she answered, “If I had signed then, I probably would have become a SNSD member.”
For a question, why she decided not to sign a contract with SM Entertainment, Clara said, “My mom wanted me to be an actress. My dad, who was active in the group Koreana, didn’t want me to because he had a rough time as a singer, so I ended up not signing the contract.”
