CNBlue‘s Yong Hwa guested on the recent episode of MBC’s Radio Star and revealed why he decided not to join the cast of ‘The Heirs’.
“To be honest, I knew the drama would do well, since it was written by writer Kim Eun Sook. But I wanted to try out a role other than a student role and that’s how I came to choose ‘Future Choice’,” said Yong Hwa
He also added, “Park Shin Hye was also the lead actress in that drama, and I thought it wouldn’t be good for either of us to appear in multiple dramas together.”
When the MCs jokingly said, “You should’ve told Park Shin Hye, ‘step off the drama because I want to do it,’” Jung Yong Hwa said, “The only thing that bothered me was the news came out before I even said I would appear in the drama. Then when the reports came out that I won’t be appearing in the drama, people left comments saying, ‘who does he think he is to turn down such a famous writer’s drama?’”
