The girls of Crayon Pop are known for their quirky onstage outfits for ‘Bar Bar Bar,’ with their interesting combination of skirts over pants, and trademark helmets. However, when they pulled that look to give Chuseok greetings, the reaction wasn’t all positive.
While numerous fans commented on the cuteness and mused over the smart idea to create a modern Chuseok outfit, some were not pleased and said that they weren’t showing respect to the traditional Korean apparel. However, they removed the helmets to put on traditional headdresses.
Some commented, “I like the idea, honestly, but I’d prefer it if they respectfully wore their hanboks,” “They’re taking the concept too far,” and “Is it a sincere greeting or self-promotion?”
