Dal Shabet’s Ahyoung, Serri and Subin announces their departure from Happy Face Entertainment

That is right. Dal Shabet‘s Ahyoung, Serri and Subin have announced their departure from Happy Face Entertainment.

On December 14th, Happy Face Entertainment releases a statement saying “Ahyoung, Serri and Subin exclusive contracts are coming to an end. They all plan to leave the entertainment to venture out to take on new challenges which they were unable to do while being part of Dal Shabet. Even though they are leaving, this does not mean it is the end of Dal Shabet. Currently, all possibilities are still in place for Dal Shabet and so we are currently discussing with the members. We will notify once a direction has been decided on.”

Happy Face Entertainment have finished their statement by revealing they will continue to support the girls in the future and asks the fans to do the same as well.

Each member has also gone on Instagram to leave their messages to the fans. Ahyoung revealed that it was definitely not an easy decision to make. However, she says “I’m careful not to make this letter a final goodbye to Dal Shabet. It will be difficult to reveal that Dal Shabet has been struggling for some time Hut I will work hard on my personal promotions and will always join Dal Shabet when given the chance. I will work hard to repay so please look forward to it.” Meanwhile, Ahyoung will be signing with SidusHQ where she will pursue her acting career.

안녕하세요. 팬 여러분 달샤벳 리더 세리입니다. 손 편지를 쓸 때마다 마음이 참 무겁네요. 이제는 끝이 아닌 새로운 시작을 조심스럽게 이야기해보려고 합니다. 사랑하는 가족 해피페이스엔터테인먼트와 지난 10월 계약이 만료되었어요. 지난 시간들을 돌아보니 참 많은 일들이 있었어요. 멤버 교체도 있었고, 개인적인 우여곡절과 순탄치 만은 않았던 기억들도 떠오르네요. 비교적 어린 나이에 리더라는 중요한 자리를 맡게 돼 열심히 달샤벳과 함께해 왔고 제가 그 역할을 잘 해냈는지 모르겠어요. 달샤벳의 리더로서 힘든 일이 있을 때마다 멤버들과 팬 여러분들 덕분에 이겨낼 수 있었던 것 같아요. 항상 고맙다는 말씀을 드렸지만, 다시 한번 이 편지를 통해 감사드린다는 인사를 전하고 싶어요. 여러분들이 있었기에 7년이라는 긴 시간 동안 행복할 수 있었습니다. 어느덧 7년이라는 함께한 시간이 흘렀고 이제는 각자의 길에 응원과 힘을 보내야 할 순간이 다가왔어요. 물론 저희의 선택이 쉽지만은 않았습니다. 하지만 서로의 의견을 존중하는 마음에서 이러한 결정을 내리게 되었어요. 저희의 계약이 끝났다고 해서 달샤벳이 영원히 여러분의 곁을 떠나는 건 아니에요. 언제 여러분들 앞에 서겠다는 약속을 드릴 수는 없지만, 언젠간 저희 네 멤버가 달샤벳이라는 이름으로 무대에 올라 여러분과 함께 웃을 수 있는 날이 올 거라고 말씀드리고 싶어요. 개인적으로는 앞으로 나아갈 방향에 대해 구체적인 계획을 세우지는 못했어요. 지금은 우희와 함께 ‘더 유닛’에 도전하면서 그동안 잊고 있었던 소중함들을 다시 되새기고, 처음의 열정을 떠올리면서 바쁜 날들을 최선을 다해서 보내고 있어요. 특히 여러분들이 보내주시는 사랑에 감사한 하루하루를 보내고 있습니다. 제 진로는 ‘더 유닛’을 마친 뒤에야 곰곰이 생각해볼 수 있을 것 같아요. 아쉬운 마음, 그리운 마음, 그리고 고마운 마음들이 넘쳐 지금 이 편지로 대신할 수 없음에 안타깝습니다. 다만 지금 말씀드릴 수 있는 건 지금의 이 마음들을 두 번 다시 잊지 않고, 매 순간을 소중하게 생각하는 세리가 되겠다는 약속이에요. 항상 겸손하고 감사할 줄 아는 세리가 되겠습니다. 그리고 모든 일에 최선을 다하는 세리가 될 테니 달링 여러분 꼭 지켜봐주시고 응원해주세요. 감사하고 사랑합니다. -달샤벳 리더 세리 드림-

Leader Serri‘s letter says “My heart is heavy while writing this letter. I will be careful in talking about this new beginning. My contract had ended in October. There were many ups and downs in the past and it was difficult to see whether or not I did a good job as a leader. However, I would like to thank the fans for their continuous support which helped me get through my hard times. It was difficult for all three members to make this decision. Just because the contract is over, that does not mean that Dal Shabet will forever be leaving your side. We can’t promise you the day we will stand altogether, however, I want to say that one day the four members will unite once again before you.”

Finally, Subin says her thanks and gratitude towards the fans who continue to support them. She also thanks her members and the Happy Face family members. She reveals that this is not the end of Dal Shabet and asked fans to look forward to the future.
