‘Sunrise’, the first studio album from DAY6 was released by JYP Entertainment on June 7 at 12pm.
The first single off the album is called ‘I Smile’ and the full music video was released at the same time as the album dropped. You can watch the full music video below:
DAY6 had been releasing teaser images and music video teasers over the past few weeks in the lead-up to the album release.

DAY6 released individual shots of the members in the lead-up to the release of ‘Sunrise’.
They also released the full track listing as a surprise treat for their fans. Sunrise features 14 tracks including all the songs from the ‘Every DAY6’ series as well as new, never before heard songs.

DAY6 recently asked fans to help choose a name for their fandom.
The options were names that were chosen by JYP Entertainment from suggestions previously made by fans. The names were:
- DAYDREAMER: DAY6 and their fans will have the same dream and walk forward together.
- DAYLIGHT: DAY6 and their fans provide light and energy to each other.
- HOLIDAY: DAY6 and their fans give each other comfort and joy like a holiday
- My Day: DAY6 and their fans are important to each other because they fill up one another’s days.
- SUNDAY: DAY6 and their fans shine on each other like the ‘sun’ and complete each other’s weeks.
The official name was announced last night – My Day was selected as the winner. What do you think of the official DAY6 fandom name?
