The highly anticipated drama has finally been released!
After getting caught on land, mermaid Shim Chung (Jun Ji Hyun) must learn to adapt as a human. She gets caught by a con man that is the spitting image of a man that once saved her like Heon Joon Jae (Lee Min Ho). Joon Jae however is a cunning con man with a knack for a special talent in magic and a cold heart. With his guidance Shim Chung adapts and melts some of the cold from Heon Joon Jae while delving into her past. The quirky drama mixes a historical tale with a present day view combining the past with the present in a comedy romance.
The drama is super playful, I adore the combination of past in present. The cinematography is absolutely gorgeous, the way they created the mermaids was beautiful. I’ve never watched a Lee Min Ho drama before and I have to say the hype was met, he and Jun Ji Hyun are excellent actors and they have insane chemistry. As much as I enjoy the acting, the story is more playful than serious and I was anticipating a bit more seriousness to it but now that the story has begun to develop more in episode 2, I have to say this is going to be an amazing drama!
Overall for the hype it got I think it deserves a 10/10, the hype definitely helped to get me more interested and it was worth it.
