Following the tragic events on April 16th, “Emergency Couple” staff decided to cancel their volounteer project to Boramae Medical Center.
The team wanted to fulfill a rating promise on April 17th, however, due to the sinking of the passenger ship and with the entire nation being in a deep sadness, “Emergency Couple” decided to fulfill their promise some other time.
“Emergency Couple” team member shared, “We decided that it wouldn’t be right to fulfill a promise immediately with the nation in anguish and canceled the project,” and continued, “We haven’t decided when we’ll carry on the promise. For now, it’s postponed.”
On April 16th, a passenger ship with around 400 people had an accident and began to sink. As of April 18th, the rescue team saved 179 people, 25 have died and over 270 are still missing.
