Seung Hyun revealed on Beatles Code 3D that he was offered to join SM Entertainment, but turned down the offer.

He said, “In my first year of middle school, I lost my way at a fireworks festival when two people approached me. They took my photo and gave me their business card.”  Those two people turned out to be from SM Entertainment, and without really knowing what an audition was, he said he sought out SM out of sheer curiosity.

When asked why he didn’t join SM, he explained, “The scariest part was that there was something about handing over the rights to your body.” MC Shindong (of Super Junior) laughed at this and offered some clarification. “It was probably a clause related to entrusting the authority and management of your portrait rights and name rights to them

Shindong added, “If you had debuted through SM, you probably would have been a part of SHINee.Song Eun Yi then teased  Seung Hyun by saying, “Song Seung Hyun can’t really dance.”

Do you think Seung Hyun would have fit in well at SM?
