Even before the actual release of f(x)’s “Red Light” the group encountered some problems. KBS had already ordered the group to change the song’s lyrics as they are inappropriate for broadcast, while MBC announced that they will release an official statement sometime this week.

The reason behind KBS’ decision is the fact that the lyrics mention a specific brand known as Caterpillar. SM Entertainment responded, “We plan to modify the problematic lyrics and request a reconsideration so that it does not impact their broadcast activities.”

MBC’s representatives stated, We received the audio and music video for f(x)’s title song ‘Red Light.’ Because we review [songs] on a weekly basis, ineligibility for broadcast has not yet been decided. After deliberating, we will decide within this week.”

f(x)’s comeback is scheduled for July 7th so stay tuned to Officially KMusic for more news!
