‘Kid girl group’ HI CUTIE have made their debut!
The group released the music video for their debut track ‘Play U‘ on October 11. Check it out below!
‘Play U‘ sees HI CUTIE going for a cute retro sound, with the song featuring an 8-bit hook over a heavy synthesized bass line. The dubstep-inspired EDM track shows off the five members’ cute charms, as well as their potential in singing, dancing, and rapping. HI CUTIE‘s debut song was produced by the leader of the old-school duo Bijou Joomin and the famous DJ Buddy.
If you thought the HI CUTIE members looked extremely young, that’s because they are. All five members – Yu Jin, Yun Jung, Ha Yeong, Eun Jeong, and Chae Rin – were born after the year 2000. The eldest member Yu Jin was born in 2003, and maknae Chae Rin was born in 2006, giving the group and average age of just 12.6 years! Feel old yet?
