Hong Jong Hyun will be in love with a woman who is older than him in the drama.
On June 12th, Hong Jong Hyun's agency confirmed that he will take a role in MBC's upcoming weekend drama "Mama".
"Mama" is about a single mother named Han Seung Hee(Song Yoon Ah) who sufferes from a terminally ill and has a limited time to live. She later developes an irony friendship with a woman who is the wife of her ex-boyfriend in order to make a family for her only son after she dies.
Hong Jong Hyun will play as Goo Ji Sub who is in love with Han Seung Hee despite the 10 years age gap between them.
"Mama" will be broadcast following "Hotel King" in August.
