Even though it was revealed that Jessica and the other 8 members of Girls’ Generation had been arguing a lot for the past few weeks, we cannot forget that they have spent over 7 years together and Jessica’s departure from the group must have made an impact on them as well.

One of the strongest images that proves that the girls are also in a great shock are pictures taken at the group’s fan event in China, “2014 Girls’ Generation First Fan Party,” that was held on September 30th. The attendees prepared large placards with all nine members of the group and held J-shaped glow sticks to support Jessica.

Despite the absence of Jessica, the atmosphere at the beginning was rather joyful just to turn into sorrowful when the girls performed the final song “Complete” with Jessica’s part being sang by her fans. Seohyun could not hold back her tears and that only prompted her unnies to shed tears as well.

The group came back to Korea on October 1st and were welcomed by swarms of fans and reporters present at the airport. Some media outlets reported that it was very quiet while the girls walked though the gates with serious looks on their faces.
