For two months, Ravi had been dropping tracks off his mixtape ‘R.EBIRTH’. Each one was marked as a pre-release which made fans anxious on if he would release them on a small album. Ravi did one better, not only did he release the mixtape, it has 11 tracks to it!
On top of a full studio album, Ravi held his own solo showcase Ravi’s 1st Live Party [R.EBIRTH] on March 19-20, which sold out in moments. Ravi also uploaded a ‘R.EBIRTH’ teaser video a couple days before the showcase. Either this was for the actual showcase or a possible music video, fans will have to wait to know.
You can stream the full mixtape on Ravi’s Soundcloud, as well as VIXX’s YouTube. I will admit, when I heard the pre-releases, I was not really a fan of Ravi’s solo work. It felt inconsistent, which was saddening since I really love his work in general. I was pleasantly surprised when I gave the full album a chance and it was amazing.
