​防弾少年団☆STYLE VOL.15: YOUR COOLEST AND MOST INFERIOR MOMENT……!?

——In 「Attack of Bangtan -Japanese Ver.-」, there’s a lyric that says “really modest”. In your opinion, when do you think you’re cool and modest?
V: I think I was the coolest when we received the Rookie Award last year.
All: Well said~ (claps)
V: Also, when we debuted in Japan!
All: Well said~ (claps)
V: And……
JIMIN: There’s more?
V: There’s one more moment
JIMIN: Then please tell us.
V: It was our comeback stage in Korea
JIMIN: Nice! V is really handsome (laughs)
V: Thank you! How about you Jimin?
JIMIN : In 「NO MORE DREAM -Japanese Ver.-」, I have a part where I step on the hyung’s backs, that’s the moment I think I’m the coolest.
RAP MONSTER : That’s because you feel good when you step on your hyungs’ backs isn’t it? (laughs)
JIMIN: No no, it’s simply because I think I’m cool.
J-HOPE : Don’t explain. Because it’s Jimin, it’s definitely because he steps on the hyung’s backs, no doubt. (laughs)
JIMIN: When I get teased by my hyungs, and Jungkook immediately joins in to ridicule me, I feel really wronged, and feel attacked (laughs)

——You can’t block the attacks.
JUNG KOOK : Don’t be too upset (laughs)
JIMIN : I’m fine (laughs)

——What about JIN?
JIN: I’m always cool (laughs)
All: Ohh~!!
JIN: Because I think I should always be confident.

——Did you develop this confidence before you entered BTS?
JIN: Before, I didn’t think about it too much. I didn’t think confidence was a big deal. But while preparing for BTS(‘s debut), I slowly began to develop this mentality.
RAP MONSTER : When I produce really great music (I feel really cool). Also, when I’m standing on a big stage.
All: Ooh-!!
V: That’s right.
SUGA: I think I’m coolest when I’m standing on the stage.
JUNG KOOK : When I attend lessons.
J-HOPE: For me, it’s right now, at this moment. I’m the coolest!
All: ……
J-HOPE: What’s wrong with you guys, why aren’t there any cheers? (laughs)
V: Because J-HOPE you seem to have misunderstood (laughs)
J-HOPE: Not even, I’m, the coolest right now——!! Because I’m still in the process of being a man.
V: I’m the opposite of J-HOPE, I feel pretty inferior right now. Today’s face is not my face (T/N: He means he’s different from the usual)
JUNG KOOK : That’s not true, you don’t seem different from how you usually are. (laughs)
V: No! (emphasizing) I’m not in good condition today. I’m ugly. (laughs)

——Then, when do you feel most inferior?
JIN: When I come across difficulties.

——When you have difficult times, do you have any ways to conquer them?
JIN: Although I don’t have any way, it’s best to try everything, and if you can’t do it, just rest a little bit. Keep resting until you forget about it (laughs). Like that, everything will naturally solve itself.
J-HOPE : I feel most inferior when I don’t do anything. Not practicing, not producing, just simply sleeping in the dorms. Therefore, I don’t spend a lot of time in the dorms. On resting days I also try to go out and explore. But once everything is done, I’ll make sure to rest a lot.
JUNG KOOK : I’m like J-HOPE hyung, I think I’m most inferior when I know there’s a lot of time, and still I don’t do anything, just rolling around the bed.
SUGA: For me it’s when I’m producing. Especially when I work til dawn, I hope no one meets me (laughs)
V: If he’s seen, it’ll be really bad (laughs)
RAP MONSTER : Even if it’s a problem others will be able to solve quickly, I will think of it as complicated. It’s already a problem that can be solved quickly and smoothly, it’s a time when I think I’m most inferior.

——This is sensible richness.
RAP MONSTER : This kind of complicated thinking is like a double-edged sword. This is my sensibility to how I see the world. Even if I’m not handsome at times, this is my foundation.

——You’ve already debuted in Japan, do you have anything you want to challenge?
J-HOPE: That’s my part (laughs). As I said before, I like Seungri sunbae, so I’ve seen a lot of his activities in Japan, I want to be like Seungri sunbae and be an artist in Japan and Korea, go on variety shows, etc, and improve in many fields.
V: I have a huge interest in performing, I want to try acting in a movie. In accordance to school life stage, I want to be the main character’s friend. Also I want to try playing the role of a spy.
JIMIN: Other than singing and dancing I don’t have anything else I want to challenge! Because I want to focus on these two things.
SUGA: So cool~!
JIMIN: That’s right, I am cool!
V: Not even, you’re so ugly (laughs)
JIMIN: There is no such thing.
SUGA: I don’t anything else I want to challenge either. But, if I must say it, I want to try photography, and challenging the job of being STAGE and MUSIC VIDEO director.

——Basically saying, you want to try anything related to music right?
SUGA: That’s right, my goal is to create comprehensive content.
RAP MONSTER : I want to travel to different places to find the trendiest fashion, I want to try different types of clothing. Also, I want to try producing a song that doesn’t have rap, just vocals.

——But if there isn’t rap, then the point of (the name) “Rap Monster” is a bit lonely.
RAP MONSTER : As long as it’s my song, even if there’s not rap I can still express my thoughts. To put it simply, I want to produce songs of different genres of music.

——When you produce songs, does it usually have a melancholic feeling?
RAP MONSTER : I think when I pinpoint the feeling I want to express I will truly convey it into the song. But if it’s too melancholic I feel sorry for the fans.
JIMIN: That’s right, at first we’d be confused. (laughs)
RAP MONSTER : If we all become depressed, it’ll be bad. So, I make sure to produce heartening songs.
JUNG KOOK : I want to challenge different types of musical instruments. Lately I’ve been learning the guitar, although it’s self learning, I still can’t play well. First I want to master guitar.
JIN: Something I want to challenge by myself is, travel around Korea for a week.

——Huh? Travel?!
JIN: Yes. Although I don’t know how long it will take, without luggage and carrying only money, and just going. I definitely can’t be “So poor I can’t even eat” (laughs)

——It’s okay even if there isn’t any music?
JIN: No, music is important.
JIMIN: What about your cellphone?
JIN: It’s important (laughs). With earphones, it’s a set.
RAP MONSTER : (You’re actually bringing a lot,) JIN hyung is lying (laughs)
JIN: But, I won’t bring anything else. Our schedule right now is very busy so I might not have a chance, if I have time I definitely need to try it.
SUGA: It will take about a year won’t it?
JIN: One year is enough! Does everyone want to go together?
All: No way——!!
JUNG KOOK : Hyung, please go by yourself (laughs)
JIN: ……Okay, I understand. No one wants to go with me, although it’s very lonely, but I will do my best by myself!
J-HOPE: We will cheer for you on the way~!
JIMIN: Yep. We will bring yummy food to visit you!
V: But, if JIN hyung isn’t in the dorms for a year, then we won’t be able to eat yummy food!
J-HOPE: That’s true!
JIMIN: That’s a problem. Then hyung shouldn’t go (laughs)
JIN: When I’m not at the dorms, work hard to make food. Then you’ll understand how important my existence is. I am BTS’s oldest, even if I’m alone I have to endure to the end!
All: Hyung is so cool——!!
