Soloist IU decided to comment on the most recent rumors about her being assaulted by an overzealous fan at Seo Ji Suk’s wedding.
The singer briefly said, “That rumor is completely false,” and added, “There was a fan at the event, but he did not attack me. It was not a serious issue.”
The reported stated that the fan took IU’s microphone when she had given her celebratory message, and asked her, “Please marry me.” Even though the microphone was turned off, IU was surprised and her manager escorted her out. He tried to follow her to her car, but was caught before. Despite what the media had claimed, there was no attempt to bring harm to the singer.
IU first met Seo Ji Suk at the filming of SBS‘ “Kiss & Cry” and have been friends since then.
