IU first post-controversy photo surface online

IU seemed to be unaffected by her recent controversy with Super Junior’s Eunhyuk earlier this month.

On November 23, a photo IU posing with a fan in a backstage waiting room was posted in an online forum. The photo, titled “Still Pretty IU”, showed the soloist doing the “peace” sign and showing off her innocent vibe on her face. Her expression showed that she seemed to be unaffected by a major backlash generated from her photo controversy.

Comments left by netizens included “IU still looks beautiful. Hope she recovers fast,” “Is it the waiting room? I wish I could be there too,” and “It’s a relief that she’s doing fine.”

Earlier in the month, IU accidently uploaded a photo of herself with Super Junior’s Eunhyuk. The photo only showed half of her face and a seemingly exhausted Eunhyuk. What generated interest was IU’s pyjama given by fans and the suggestion that both of them were in bed. IU’s agency has attempted to quell the controversy by explaining that “both of them were close friends.” Despite the explanation, disgruntled netizens rallied for and against IU in online community groups.
