May J, a Japanese singer who has collaborated with Seungri for his upcoming solo album, talked about working with BIGBANG‘s maknae.

She shared, “I went to Korea and actually met VI-san for the first time for this recording. He gave me directions all the time while recording like how he wants the song to be and he had a clear image for it. While receiving requests from him like “I want you to sing more sweetly”, I did my best to sing the song. Sometimes there was humor, so I always laughed during recording and was able to sing without getting nervous.”

May J continued, “While recording with VI-san, he firmly held on to his own thoughts and honestly faced the music, so I really felt that he’s a respectable artist. Furthermore, VI-san did a lot of research about Japan and his Japanese is really good, so I thought he is a hard worker himself. We made a promise to sing together in the future live, so I am really looking forward to sing “I Know” on stage together someday!”

May J will be featuring on Seungri’s upcoming solo album for the song “I Know” (originally sang with IU).
