On September 5, it was reported from C-JeS Entertainment that JYJ’s second full-length album ‘JUST US’ topped the Japan’s Tower Records monthly chart for August.
Although the album was released in July in Korea and not officially released in Japan, it still climbed to no,1 on the weekly chart in its first week of release with 17,000 copies sold out, proving JYJ’s immense popularity in Japan.
It was also revealed that JYJ’s agency is flooded with calls from Japan inquiring about the trio’s detailed schedule for their Asia tour, but there has been no confirmation yet for any particular Japanese cities.
JYJ's Japanese fans have always been really supportive of the group. About 2,000 Japanese fans visited Korea earlier this year for Kim Jae Joong’s fan meeting. The '2014 JYJ Membership Week' launched on July 31st also drew over 4,000 fans from Japan. Kim Junsu’s musical and ballad concert held last May in Tokyo and Osaka attracted around 63,000 fans, which is a really impressive number.
JYJ kicked off their Asia tour, 'The return of the King' through Jamsil concert on August 9th, and their next stop will be in Chengdu, China on September 6th.
