The event line-up for KCON 2014 keeps getting better and better with more guests, panels and events being added all the time!
First, it has recently been announced that a free market and outdoor stage have been added right outside the doors to the convention! They are expecting over 250 local vendors from L.A. and will also be serving up some of the best food from KCON at ‘Taste of KCON.’ The stage will be showcasing some amazing local talent including DANakaDAN, Jhameel, Flash Finger, Coco Avenue,Travis Graham, SoNe1, Henry & Miles, The Fu, Arnelle Nonon, CJ Scholarship Band, NYX, Shin-B, MVP, Jun Sung Ahn, Connie Lim, Hee Young and many others! Also this is the stage that will host the finale of the Superstar KCON competition where ten talented individuals will be performing and competing for the first ever KCON Superstar title and a $5000 grand prize.
Next, a more detailed list of panels to expect has been confirmed. Some of the panels to keep yours eye out for are ‘How To Be a K-Pop Fashionista,’ ‘Daebak: Learn Korean Slang with Dave Levene!’, ‘How to Reaction Video,‘ ‘Cosplay 101,‘ ‘Shooting with the Creator Group,’ ‘Running Fan Activity Tent (All Day Event),’ ‘Dance All Day (All Day Event),‘ and many more!
There is a strong focus on K-Dramas this year and a few more special guests have been added to the already exciting roster. The three new attendees are: Yoo In Na (‘You Who Came From the Stars’), Lee Seo Jin (‘Grandpas Over Flowers’), and Lee Seung-Gi (‘Brilliant Legacy‘). Also, streaming service Viki has arranged for a visit to the convention by Eric Nam!
A new and potentially exciting addition to the experience is the inclusion of OGN ‘League of Legends’ Champions Festival: Special Greet and Match which includes an exciting League of Legends E-sport match! Popular online game League of Legends will be featured in this section and fans will have a chance to interact with famous professional players from the team CJ Entus Frost, participate in a Q&A, and special 5 vs 5 friendly matches. Tickets for this event are available at www.powerhouselive.net.
