Kim Jaejoong, idol-turned actor and a member of JYJ is confirmed to take the main lead for the upcoming KBS2TV drama “Spy“. He will be taking the role of Sunwoo, a genius agent with extraordinary ability and decision making skills. Sunwoo’s mother will be played by the veteran actress Bae Jong Wook, she will be playing and ex-spy from North Korea.
This drama is based on “The Gordin Cell” a drama/thriller series developed for Israeli television about a married couple of former spies forced to face their past when asked to surrender their son to Russian Intelligence to become a spy himself.
C-JeS Enterainment stated: “Kim Jaejoong is starring in KBS 2TV’s Friday drama series ‘Spy’ (Script by Han Sang Woong, Directed by Park Hyeon Suk) has been confirmed. As a genius analyst with an abnormal brain, he will be able to show another side of acting.”
This will be a new hybrid drama, mixing the usual family drama genre with spy thriller elements.
