Actress Kim Sae Ron recently sat down with a local media and shared her thoughts on JTBC‘s “Mirror of the Witch.” The K-drama aired from May 13th 2016 to July 16th 2016 on cable network, JTBC, on Fridays and Saturdays at 20:30 KST.
Kim Sae Ron played the lead role of Princess Seo-ri / Yeon-hee who is a cursed princess that ends up falling in love with Heo Jun, a scholar who tries to lift the curse.
The actress commented, “‘Mirror of the Witch‘ is about teen romance. Unfortunately, I don’t have much experience when it comes to romance, so I often drew romance scenes that I have seen in web cartoons. I am a big fan of web cartoons and have read many.”
Yoon Shi Yoon, the actor who plays Heo Jun, is fourteen years older than Kim Sae Ron. The actress said that she did not feel the age difference when interacting with him. She says, “He is very humorous and playful, so I didn’t feel the age gap so much.”
The drama did not feature any kissing scenes. Kim Sae Ron adds on, “‘Mirror of the Witch’ is about young and innocent love. So, I believe that the love between Yeon-hee and Heo Jun was conveyed to the viewers even without a kiss scene.
