For the first time in 5 years, Ku Hye Sun is going to work with script-writer Yoon Ji Ryun (since “Boys Over Flowers“) in SBS‘ new weekend drama “Angel Eyes” (working title).
This marks her return in 3 years since the drama “Take Care of Us, Captain” which had its finale back in March of 2011.
Ku will have the main female lead, the character Yoon Soo Wan. Yoo is a hard-working paramedic who not only is well known at the fire department but also at hospitals. Her life however was not always wonderful. Prior to being a paramedic, Yoon suffered with blindness, but then had her eyes transplanted and since then, began her new life.
Although she may physically seem naive, let it not fool you! She accepts any challenge with bravery and determination! Despite all of this … her heart aches for her first love.
After 12 years of she and her love not meeting, they finally reunite. It becomes a love story between Yoon Soo Wan and Park Don Joo, who feels love is more important than success.
“Angel Eyes” is a melo-drama, filled with painful, yet beautiful love all told through an angel’s eyes.
Producer Park Shin Woo director of SBS’s “Yawang” and “Ghost”, and the scriptwriter of “Boys Over Flower”, Yoon Ji Ryun, are set to very high expectations with this production.
Ku commented, “I am excited about it. I will be trained properly as a paramedic for filming. I was told the whole filming process is close to real, so I am a bit nervous, but I will do my best. I always wanted to work with writer Yoon again. I thoroughly enjoyed ‘Boys Over Flower’ and had full trust in her talents. I am extremely happy that I can work with her again. I will do my best to produce a good work.”
“Angel Eyes” will be play in April as the follow-up of SBS’s “She Gets Married Thrice.”
