It was revealed that Lee Hi’s new song, ‘Scarecrow’, composed by J.Y.Park, has been created back in 2007 and was originally supposed to be 2NE1‘s Park Bom solo debut song.
5 years ago, YG Entertainment released a statement saying: ‘Park Bom will release one song as a part of a pre-promotion in early May. The song is titled ‘Scarecrow’ and J.Y. Park composed the song.’
2NE1’s Park Bom, has performed this song during Big Bang’s nationwide concert in 2007.
Recently YG representative admitted: ‘The new song ‘Scarecrow’ is written and composed by J.Y. Park, but he did not make it for Lee Hi. CEO Yang requested for the song years ago, and CEO Yang Hyun Suk kept it treasured. He gave it to Lee Hi after all this time.’
