With his recent success in ‘Train to Busan‘ Ma Dong-seok has been taking the headlines by storm. With great success, and a massive box office hit, comes great offers. According to The Dong-A Ilbo, Ma Dong has been offered roles from major Hollywood studios!
‘Train To Busan‘ debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May, and since then, has taken the world by storm. Many studios have been fighting to earn rights to give a remake to Western fans, many of these studios in Hollywood. The reason for a Western adaptation is no question, considering the film alone grossed $124, 345,967 worldwide! Having one of the films biggest stars in Hollywood productions only seem logical.
An official from the Korean film industry said:
“It appears Lee will become the latest addition to Korean stars who debuted in Hollywood, such as Lee Byung-hun and Bae Doo-na.”
Ma Dong-seok will be a perfect edition to Hollywood! He is fluent in English and has a residency in the United States. Plus he’s an amazing actor with the ability to captivate any audience.
