Mir of MBLAQ became friends with a terminally ill cancer patient.
‘Like A Miracle’ is a documentary from Channel A, which films the story of Kim DongHee. He is a 20 year old who has been suffering from cancer since he was in the 10th grade. For three years he went in and out of the hospital during his high school years. He was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma but this didn’t stop him from doing anything. He never gave up on life, he took the college entrance exam to become a college student.
Mir heard of Kim DongHee’s story and decided he wanted to meet him. Mir pushed his schedules back a bit and requested he wanted to be on the show. He, too, had a problem with his lungs when he was younger so he was hospitalized for some time. Mir felt that he had some kind of relation to it.
Before Mir went to go visit Kim DongHee, he had prepared a handmade lunch for DongHee. Mir included DongHee’s favorite type of meat. They talked for a long time and Mir told Kim DongHee to call him ‘hyung‘. Kim DongHee had many things he wanted to do and Mir helped him fulfill his wish, even with preparing a surprise party.
This documentary will be aired on May 12.
