When news broke that Minzy was leaving 2NE1, fans were sad. It was when she announced that she signed with Music Works in May, fans were excited to see what the new solo artist would bring. A November comeback date was confirmed by the artist, but now that might be delayed. The label issued a statement saying:
“We are focusing on producing a first solo album which can portray all of Gong Minzy’s talent and potential. We will continue the preparations without being chased by time.”
While this news is saddening for Minzy fans, it is not the end of new music from the artist. She has been offered several songs from producers, but has not found the perfect comeback song for her solo release. Until then, Minzy has become a mentor at her new agency, helping to train new K-Pop idols. She has been working with the anticipated group MYTEEN, who will debut next year.
