2PM's agency JYP Entertainment has stated on the 5th, "2PM will be returning by the end of April. This comeback is not a digital single but a mini album."
The members of 2PM are currently doing individual activities on various show programs and dramas. After hearing of their comeback, their fans have been showing a strongly negative response, referring to it as 'The beasts are returning.'
Last February, 2PM member Jaebum was completely withdrawn from the group. Since then, fans have changed the group's nickname of 'Beastly Idols' into just 'Beasts,' meaning that they are not humans but are animals. It holds an obvious negative connotation.
Before the controversy, 2PM had received the love of fans for their 'beastly idol' image. This change in nickname is a definite show of the change in opinion of their fans.
Some fans have shown a rough response, stating, "Are they coming back now because they're trying to block off Jaebum's activities in the states? They're less than animals!" Fans currently believe that 2PM is trying to steal the spotlight from Jaebum, since news of his current activities are being relayed to the fans in Korea.
After the Jaebum controversy, fans have been continually sending a negative response to 2PM. Much attention is being put towards whether the fans will show the same response with their comeback at the end of April.
