After School’s Japanese debut album, released on August 17, ranked sixth on the Oricon chart on the first day of this album’s release. What’s more, the 3000 seats for the showcase to celebrate the group’s debut in Japan were completely sold out just in a minute, which proves that After School is an emerging star in Japan.
After School also attracted considerable interest from Japanese media headlines which gave the group a nickname “Charismatic Group.”
Someone in the know says, “Japan has no girl group with such a charisma and powerful energy as this. I think that After School’s singing abilities and charismatic performing skills are impressive enough to make all the singers both in Korea and Japan nervous.”
