CNBLUE have become the first Korean singers to reach platinum status with two different albums in Taiwan at the same time.
According to Warner Music Taiwan, their first mini-album, “Bluetory” and the second mini album, “Blue Love” have both sold over 10,000 copies each. Taiwan acknowledges albums as “Platinum” when 10,000 copies are sold.
The members of CNBLUE, Jung Yong Hwa, Lee Jong Hyun, Lee Jung Shin and Kang Min Hyuk have had a press conference in Taiwan and will have fan meeting on the 24th and 25th of September.
CNBLUE‘s “I’m A Loner“ is currently ranked first in Taiwan’s mobile chart and in EMOME. “Blue Love” is ranked 3rd in the top selling album in Books.com.
CNBLUE’s 2nd single in Japan “I Don’t Know Why” was ranked within top 10 in Oricon.
According to F&C, their management company, “It is such an incredible result because they made it without a major debut and promotional tour and the album was released by an indie label.”
