[NEWS] The Merry DiGi Live K-Pop 2AM Showcase!

The DiGi Live K-Pop 2AM showcase that was held at Wisma MCA Kuala Lumpur on the 21st of May 2011 was a success and had its own surprises. The presence of this group from Korea was to do an exclusive concert/showcase for the Malaysian fans that showed never ending support for them. This time, their visit to Kuala Lumpur has been a satisfying moment to those who adore the handsome boys from South Korea. 2AM consists of members Jinwoon, Jo Kwon, Seulong and Changmin.

The concert started at 6PM and was hosted by one of AMP Radio Networks' deejays, Jin from Hitz.fm, who handled the MCing with success and made the concert went by smoothly. 2AM made their appearance wearing the same outfits in their newest album cover, Saint o'Clock. With their uniform white outfits, what was different was their own distinctive style.

The concert that was held at Wisma MCA saw the attendance of about 2000 fans that came from all over Malaysia to see their favorite artiste perform. The concert was never silent, filled with the screams from fanatics after the four boys from South Korea shook the atmosphere. All throughout the concert, these active fans were responsive to the host and 2AM themselves. The support of the local K-Pop fans left an impression on 2AM who brought out their own surprises and gimmicks.



The opening performance was done by the students of Bentley Music Academy who played instrumentals of 2AM songs. 2AM came forward with Never Let You Go, and the interaction session with lucky fans started. These fans were invited on stage to interact with 2AM and they showed many different responses towards the boys.

Exclusive signed posters were the coveted prizes of the night, seen as priceless tokens for fanatic 2AM fans. There were some who were crying because they got to hug the members of 2AM, there was one who screamed because she was too excited and some froze when they were held by the 4 tall handsome boys.

The happiness of 2AM fans did not stop there. They were presented with songs such as Confession of a Friend, You Wouldn’t Answer My Call, I Did Wrong, Like Crazy and This Song throughout the evening. These songs were played for the fans of 2AM in front of Wisma MCA too, who waited from 3PM that day.



The next surprise was for the 2AM themselves, for the majority of the members who had their birthdays in May. Jinwoon, Seulong and Changmin were presented with a cake shaped like the Petronas Twin Towers that was sponsored especially for this concert. This happy event was celebrated with lucky fans who got to hand their presents personally to the 3 members. For sure, the fangirls who got to be on stage couldn't sleep at night because they got their wish to come true.

DiGi, with the support of Universal Music Malaysia has succeeded with bringing this JYP Entertainment group and has brought the hopes of Malaysian 2AM fans to reality. This event has proved that the Malaysian music fans embraces music in any language and doesn't pose it as an excuse to enjoy music in any language. This was proven in the fans of K-Pop who remembers the words of k-pop songs by heart that is obviously not our own mother tongue. This spirit of "music is universal" should always be put forward.
