In the newly revamped “Chat with Beautiful Ladies” on KBS-1TV on Saturday, a Thai panelist revealed results of a survey on which Korean male star whom foreign viewers want to have a photo shoot with.
Heartthrob actor Jang Dong-geon ranked third. A guest on the show expressed regret and was surprised by the result, saying, “Jang should’ve been number one!”
Then Rain was revealed at number one and few raised objections. Ranking second was Big Bang’s G-Dragon. Those who voted for him hailed him for his interviews, saying, “G-Dragon is so unique in his fashion sense,” “He always knows what to wear,” “I like his spiked-up hair.”
A panelist from the global fashion center, France, said she discovered two surprising aspects about Korean fashion: one, everyone follows the fads and second, the “couple look,” which is when couples don similar outfits. She said, “I’m not a fan of the couple look. I like to express myself in fashion and not look like everyone else but I’ve become used to it now that I’m living here.”
A lady from Japan followed up, “There’s no such thing as a couple look in Japan either. At home, it’s embarrassing to wear the same style.” But an Italian guest differed on the debate, “For me, I ask my husband to wear the couple look but he refuses.” The new edition of “Chat with Beautiful Ladies,” airs every Saturday at 7:10 p.m. on KBS-1TV.
