When cheering for the Taegeuk Warriors, ordinary citizens and celebrities are no different, as many stars used social network Twitter to voice their support for the games against Greece and Argentina. With their bright red attire and cheering props, these celebrities were one with the "Red Devils."

Cheering in groups

Groups must stick together to survive ― and
indeed, pop groups such as 2AM and Jewelry gathered together to cheer on the national team. Jo-kwon, the leader of boy band 2AM, posted a picture of him and fellow member Seul-ong posing in matching red outfits on June 17, saying "Let's cheer hard today." Park Jung-ah, 29, leader of girl group Jewelry, also revealed a photo of her and fellow members donning glow-in-the-dark headbands. Park added a message saying "How fun! We won ― what a happy moment! I love you, Jewelry members! Too bad, In-young had to leave early!" displaying her passionate cheering spirit. Ye-eun, 21, of the Wonder Girls also chimed in, saying "We've been waiting so long for tonight!"

With the family

Actress Lee Seung-yeon, 42, and singer and composer Chu Young-hoon,41, joined in the World Cup fever with their families. Both stars posted photos of them rooting for the Korean team with their daughters on Twitter. Chu displayed a photo of his red shirt-clad daughter, commenting "Ara is cheering too!"

Working and cheering

Broadcaster Park So-hyun, 28, juggled work and cheering duties at the same time. Park worked as the MC of the SBS radio program 'The Return of Street Rallies' on June 23. The announcer showed off her Red Devil-ish passion by posting photos of her and guests Tak Jae-hoon and BMK preparing for the show.

Comedian Kim Mi-hwa, 46, also mastered the art of working and cheering. Kim put up a message saying, "I get attracted to red things as I get older. Go Korea!' with a photo of her grinning face. The humorist had taken the photo while working at the radio station, but obviously took her cheering duties very seriously.

Like a movie

Actors in upcoming films also played a role (literally) in the cheering craze for the Argentina game. "Moss" stars such as Jung Jae-young, Yoo Hae-jin and Kim Sang-ho chanted "Dae-han min gook!" with fans in a Gangnam family restaurant, while "Maumi 2" stars Song Joong-ki and Jang-kun the puppy made a surprise appearance at the Hangang cheering rally. "Man of Vendetta" actors Kim Myung-min and Um Ki-joon also viewed the match in a Seoul pub, all decked out in red t-shirts. Even foreign actors took part in the Cup mania, as "Eclipse" stars Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner showed their support by signing Red Devil t-shirts.
