South Korea’s very own Lim Hyung Joo is set to receive this year’s U.S Presidential Culture Award from President Barack Obama. The operatic tenor is receiving the award in recognition for his contributions to U.S and South Korean relations.

This is not the first time he has received such an award; he also was awarded the UN Peace Medal, becoming the first Korean and youngest recipient of the award. The award ceremony is set to take place in Washington D.C. in April.
