Following a reinvestigation, Rain was cleared of all charges in malpractice case.
The Seoul Central District Prosecutors′ Office announced on June 23rd, “Rain, who was sued for bringing harm to a company after demanding billions of won for modeling fees as its main shareholder, was cleared of all charges following a reinvestigation.”
Rain was sued by a businessman that traded in clothing back in April 2010. The businessman claimed, that Rain, the biggest shareholder in a company the accuser invested in, received about 2.2 billion won as three years′ worth of modeling fees, bringing great harm to the company by receiving the excessive payment.
After a two-year reinvestigation, the Prosecutors′ Office stated that no suspicions against Rain could be confirmed, and so Rain was not indicted.
