Already having released his first track on the ‘R.EBIRTH’ mixtape, Ravi took to his Instagram to reveal a new date for the second pre-release.
The image is the same as before but this time the red paint has been scraped away to show January 21st as the next date. Ravi has been working diligently to release his mixtape; though he has written and composed various tracks for his band, VIXX, this is his first work as a solo artist.
Ravi debuted in VIXX back in 2012 when he was one of ten trainees chosen to participate in Jellyfish Entertainment’s ‘MyDol’. Ravi has since gone on to be successful not only in VIXX but his subunit with label mate, Leo, for VIXX LR. He also participated in ‘Show Me The Money 4’ but was eliminated in the second round.
His first track was released earlier this month. ‘Where Should I Go’ featured SMTM 4 contestant, Microdot, and had a simplistic beat with piercing lyrics. If you haven’t checked it out already, you can hear it below.
I am highly anticipating this second track. A lot of idol rappers are coming forward with mixtapes and showing they have what it takes to move past the image given to them.
