Red Velvet is soon to enter the Japanese music scene!
Just ahead of their Japanese debut, Red Velvet has started to raise fans’ excitement by showing off the contents of their Japanese debut bit by bit through teasers. After the revelation of image teasers a few days ago, the group have now released a short teaser clip of their new music video.

From what we see in the teaser, it is certain that Red Velvet is making their second debut in the typical Red Velvet style. The teaser is bright and colourful throughout, with upbeat music to match the vibrant vibe. Yet, some of the scenes give off a very subtle sense of malice. Joy side-eyeing someone, ants eating away at a cookie and the members blowing out the unnecessarily large number of candles on a misshapen cake are among the scenes which exude a rather ominous feeling.
We will have to wait and see if Red Velvet is going for a creepy cute concept like ‘Russian Roulette‘ or if things will start looking different in the MV.
