Roy Kim's 'Spring, Spring, Spring' revealed to have undergone another plagiarism controversy.
On December 8th, it was reported that composer Kim Hyun Yong has filed a lawsuit against Roy Kim for plagiarizing his song 'From The Landscape of the Lord'. Accoring to the composer, 'Spring, Spring, Spring' has the same melody as the song he created in July 2012 even though he didn't release it to the public. He claimed that Roy Kim plagiarized it as it was leaked through the emails he sent to the producer. The copyright committee is currently looking into the case.
Regarding the issue, CJ E&M came out with an official statement,"The composer's song was neither registered as a sound track nor released public. He claimed that his work got plagiarized as the music sheet was leaked through emails, and we find it absurd. We are currently taking measures through a law firm and planning to bring it to the court later".
Roy Kim's 'Spring, Spring, Spring' previous was accused of plagiarizing the ukulele version of 'Love is Canon' by Acoustic Rain in August, 2013.
