Shawols everywhere were outraged to find that a Serbian group by the name of Tropico had appeared to have plagiarized SHINee‘s concept for their video, “1000 Nen Zutto Soba Ni” with their video for, “U Lkubav Varujem“.

After netizens realized the similarities, a description appeared in the info box of the Serbian group’s video, stating that, “Notice; INSPIRED BY SHINEE MUSIC VIDEO , “1000 years always by your side”, with the aim of raising awareness and higher turnout of the citizens in humanitarian actions and concerts. There is no other purpose of this video and we send our sincere apologies to everyone who is offended by the choice of the above mentioned video. We owe a special apology to KPOP FAN groups around the world.”
Even after the notice and apology was issued, netizens flagged their official page.
Following these events, Tropico’s music video for “U Lkubav Varujem” was removed from YouTube, due to a copyright claim by the Recording Industry of Japan.
