As planning for the third season of ‘K-Pop Star‘ continues, news has it that SM Entertainment is contemplating to withdraw from the popular audition program.
A representative from the program revealed, “It looks like SM Entertainment might not be able to join this season. SBS plans to release a statement regarding this along with their stance soon.”
The judging process of ‘K-Pop Star’ is the combined forces of the “Big Three,” including JYP, SM, and YG. Fans are worried that if SM quits, it might lead to a completely new platform for the program.
Nevertheless, SBS has revealed as well that the preliminary auditions have concluded and filming will begin mid-November.
