We are sad to report that Tiger JK‘s father, Seo Byung Hoo, has passed away.
The rapper revealed the sad news in a short but touching tweet, “My father left. He said life is loving, and thank you all.”
Seo Byung Hoo was well known pop columnist, he passed away of cancer around 4pm on February 1st, at the age of 72.
After graduating Seoul University, Seo Byung Hoo became a panelist for MBC‘s College Music Festival and then a newspaper editor for a well known Korean newspaper in 1988. He is also known as one of South Korea’s first pop columnists and founding member of Korean Popular Music Critics Association, explaining Tiger JK’s interest in music.
Tiger JK followed up with a second tweet, “To those who I met when I was younger, thank you Jo Yong Pil ahjusshi, Kim Kwang Hwan ahjusshi, Kim Soo Chul ahjusshi, Jeon Young Rok ahjusshi, Jo Young Namahjusshi, Shin Joong Hyun ahjusshi.”
