오늘 새벽 지인의 연락으로 SNS 상에서 제 가사의 출처가 문제가 됐다는 것을 알게 되었습니다.
우선 진심으로 죄송합니다. 이제 겨우 시작일 뿐이지만, 저도 한 명의 창작자로서 어려움을 느낄 때가 많습니다. 저 혼자 내부의 자극으로만 음악을 쓸 수는 없어 가까운 친구들과의 대화, 제가 좋아하는 책들, 영화들, 인터뷰들, 팬들의 편지에 있는 글들로부터 영감을 받곤 합니다. 그래서 인상 깊었던 느낌이나 구절들을 폰 메모장 한 켠에 적어둡니다. 대부분은 지워지거나 잊혀졌지만 오늘의 지적을 받고 돌아보니 의식하지 못한 채로 이런 잘못을 했다는 생각이 듭니다. 출처가 어딘지, 기억도 잘 나지 않으면서 곡을 써야 한다는 상황만으로 경솔하게 일을 했습니다.
모든 게 제 잘못입니다. 특정한 표현을 처음 쓴 분이 보신다면 당연히 불쾌할 일이라고 생각합니다. 제가 그 분들께 직접 연락을 드리고 최선을 다해 책임을 다 하도록 하겠습니다.
다시 한 번 이 문제를 지적해주신 분들, 상처 입으신 분들께 사과 드립니다. 아직 부족한 부분이 많음에도 불구하고, 늘 성원해주시는 팬 여러분들께 죄송하고 감사합니다. 창작의 어려움을 생각하기에 앞서 창작가의 책임을 먼저 생각하는 사람이 되겠습니다.

Trans @bts_twt : Hello. This is BTS’ Rap Monster. I am currently in Hong Kong for MAMA. Today is a very important day for BTS but I believed that this issue was also very important and I wanted to make sure and tell you (all) directly so I am leaving this post.
Today at dawn I learned that there was a problem with the source of my lyrics through SNS contact from Ji-in.
Firstly, I sincerely apologize. Though this is only the beginning, I myself, as a composer (writer), have many times were I go through (feel) hardships. I cannot write with only my inner stimulus (depending only on own thoughts) so I do receive inspiration from conversations with friends, books that I like, movies, interviews, and fan letters. So I write down feelings or phrases that leave a significant impression on me on one page of my phone memo. Most of it has been erased or forgotten but after being called out (on my mistake) today and looking back I realized I had unconsciously made this mistake. Without even remembering where the source was from, in a situation where I needed to write a song (T/N: He was only thinking about having to write/finish the song) I worked thoughtlessly.
Everything is my fault. I do believe that the person who first wrote the specific expression could be offended if they saw it (my lyrics). I will personally (directly) contact those people and try my hardest to take all the responsibility.
Once again, to the people who pointed out this issue, to the people who were hurt by this issue, I apologize. To the fans who always support me (us) despite our many lacking areas (flaws), I am sorry and thank you. Considering the hardships of composers (writers), I will become a person that thinks about a composer’s (writer’s) responsibility first.
